BAG Diagnostics announces a new real-time PCR rapid test: ViroQ SARS-FluA/B-RSV provides an innovation to virological infectiology. With the new kit, the most important infections of the respiratory tract can be diagnosed very quickly and in parallel. This is particularly important during flu sessions.

With just one PCR run, laboratories can reliably detect whether SARS-CoV-2, RS-, influenza A or B viruses are present in the sample material. In addition, the test verifies whether there is sufficient sample material in the PCR reaction. False negative results, which are particularly fatal in the detection of SARS-CoV-2, are avoided with the new BAG test kit.

The ViroQ SARS-FluA/B-RSV Kit is designed for universal use. It can be combined with common RNA isolation kits. The contained fluorescent dyes are compatible with the commercially available real-time cyclers. Test results are available after less than 60 minutes. The kit can also be shipped uncooled. Logistics costs are thus considerably reduced.
