SARS-CoV-2 virus of origin or which variant?
Further, partly highly infectious mutations of the corona virus SARS-CoV-2 are on the rise globally. To take this development into account, our real-time PCR differentiation kit ViroQ® SC2 Variant 1 has been further developed.
ViroQ® SC2 Variant 2 also provides reliable and valid results for six additional variants in only 60 minutes:
- Alpha – B.1.1.7
- Delta – B.1.617.2
- Epsilon – B.1.427 / B.1.429
- Eta – B.1.525
- Kappa – B.1.617.1
- B.1.617.3
Both PCR kits have included a confirmatory test for the SARS-CoV-2 variant of origin (Wuhan). A combination of ViroQ® SC2 Variant 1 and Variant 2 is recommended to detect even more variants redundantly and thus more reliably.
