Ella Gorton is a Clinical Scientist at Anthony Nolan, specialising in Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (H&I). She completed the BSHI Diploma training programme, gaining broad practical experience through rotations across different laboratory teams, and successfully passed the BSHI Diploma viva in 2025.
Before moving into Clinical Scientist training, Ella worked as a Senior Laboratory Scientist at Anthony Nolan, supporting donor–patient matching for patients with blood disorders. Her scientific background also includes senior roles in accredited PCR laboratories during the COVID-19 pandemic and research experience at the University of Seville, resulting in a peer-reviewed publication.
Together with P. Zafiropoulos, we look forward to sharing experience with the HISTO SPOT® HLA Antibody Identification Assay and engaging in scientific exchange with H&I professionals from across the region and beyond.
We look forward to seeing you in Thessaloniki!
